ALTA Anti-Corrosion Tape Coatings
Alta Altene is recognized worldwide as a leading company in the production of corrosion protection coatings for oil, gas, water and petrochemical pipelines. Alta Altene systems comprise of a combination of primer with either a 2 or 3 ply anti-corrosion innerwrap & an outerwrap of either mechanical or U.V. protection tape and also have a range of single wrap tapes for joints, coating repairs & coating of valves & fittings.
The polymeric composition of the tapes and their “cold” application ensure a “clean” product, friendly for the environment and safe for human health. Alta Altene corrosion protection systems are recognized for their high quality, proven long-term performance, ease of application, both manually and mechanically.
Alta 3ply Tape System
This system consists of Alta P27 Primer, 1823-32 anti-corrosion 3ply tape & 205-20 mechanical protection outerwrap designed for both hand or machine application. Excellent adhesion providing a fully bonded system with
proven long-term inground performance.
P 27 Primer
Solvent-based primer designed for brush or roller application to mechanically cleaned pipe surface, to be used with Alta Altene pipeline coating tapes & mastics.
Alta 1823-32 3 Ply Joint Coating
1823-32 is a 3 ply tape which has adhesive on both sides of a polyethylene carrier, providing a tenacious bond to the primed steel pipe, itself at the overlap and to the outerwrap.
Alta 205-20 Outerwrap
Mechanical protection layer for use with all of the Alta anti-corrosion mainline and joint wrap coating products.
Alta 109-25 2 ply Innerwrap
Alta 109-25 is a 2 ply tape for hand machine or over-the-ditch application for mainline & coating reconditioning, used in combination with 205-20 mechanical outerwrap.
Alta 122-30 U.V Outerwrap
This high U.V.resistant tape is designed for use on pipelines exposed to the elements when applied to a cleaned pipe surfaces or as an additional protective outerwrap.
Alta-300-40 2 ply Joint Wrap
Heavy duty joint wrap tape for hand application to joints, fittings & bends where high conformability is required.
Alta 320-40 2 ply High Tack Tape
This high tack anti-corosion tape has an extremely aggressive adhesive for use as a joint wrap or patch/repair coating.
Alta 400-12 500-13 Utility Tape
General utility tapes for hand application on joints and fittings.These tapes are also suitable for light duty outerwrap.
MN Mastic
100% solid mastic designed as a self-adhering filler material prior to over wrapping with Alta joint coating tape systems.
Peel Test
Results of peel test performed in the field 24 hours after application, required more than 25kgs of force to peel a 25mm wide strip. Demonstrating the aggressive adhesion characteristics of the P27 primer, 1823-32 and 205-20 joint coating system.
